Description

Albertus Magnus College is a private, coeducational liberal arts college located on a 50-acre campus in the Prospect Hill neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut. Boston and New York City are both easily accessible by road and rail. The college has approximately 500 traditional full-time undergraduates, and a larger population of continuing education and graduate students. The college offers over 50 undergraduate academic programs (majors, minors and concentrations) and six graduate programs. Business administration is by far the most popular undergraduate major, and Albertus Magnus academics are supported by 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Students come from eight states and two foreign countries, and they can participate in about 25 different clubs and organizations. In athletics, the Albertus Magnus Falcons compete in the NCAA Division III Great Northeast Athletic Conference. The college fields six men's and six women's intercollegiate sports.

Minimum GPA for Applying:
Albertus Magnus College does not publish a requirement for a minimum GPA, but assume the higher your GPA the better your chances are for admission.

Minimum Grades for Transfer:
Albertus Magnus College will transfer credits received from fully accredited colleges and universities where the student received grades of C or better.

Credits (Min/Max):
A maximum of 90 credits is transferable from an accredited four-year college for work done satisfactorily (C or better). A maximum of 64 credits is transferable from junior and community colleges. B.F.A. students may transfer an additional 9 credits.

Test Scores for Applying:
If you are applying with less than 60 transferable credits we also require an official standardized test scores.

Letters of Recommendation Required:
At least one letter of academic recommendation from a professor or academic advisor who is familiar with the applicant's academic ability and potential.

Essay(s) required:
Must submit an essay or personal statement for admission consideration.
