Lynchburg College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, about 180 miles southwest of Washington D.C., in the Central Virginia foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. An independent, co-educational, residential college of 2,500 students, Lynchburg College provides a sophisticated academic experience in a small-school environment. We offer over 40 majors and minors; graduate programs; in-depth research opportunities, as well as study abroad and interdisciplinary courses; and average class sizes of 17, with an overall student-faculty ratio of 12:1. Lynchburg College is accredited/approved by the Commission on Colleges and Universities of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Minimum GPA for Applying:
You must be in good academic standing and have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher to be considered for transfer admission.

Minimum Grades for Transfer:
The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C.

Credits (Min/Max):
76 credits is the maximum that can be transferred from another institution. You must earn 48 credits and complete 50% of your major at Lynchburg to receive a bachelor's degree.

Test Scores for Applying:
Students with 25 or more college credit hours and students who graduated from high school two or more years ago are not required to submit SAT/ACT test scores.

Letters of Recommendation Required:
A letter of recommendation from a college professor, advisor or employer is not required, but is strongly recommended.

Essay(s) required:
The submission of a personal essay discussing your personal goals and reasons for wanting to attend Lynchburg College is optional.
