Arkansas State University-Beebe is a regional state university, an operationally separate, two-year institution of the Arkansas State University System. With campuses located in Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy, and Little Rock Air Force Base, we offer associate degrees, certificates, and non-credit training for business and industry. The Beebe campus also provides space for ASU-Jonesboro to offer baccalaureate and graduate degrees. Courses are also offered at other locations within the service area. Some courses are taught in locations convenient to business and industry. At ASU-Beebe, students can expect to find high quality programs at a very reasonable price.

Minimum Grades for Transfer:
Transfer credit may be accepted from students who provide official transcripts from institutions recognized by the CHE Accreditation if these credits fit the program of studies selected at ASUÜ´¢c´ c´_Beebe and the student received a grade of "C" or better.

Credits (Min/Max):
Students must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of residency to be eligible for an ASUÜ´¢c´ c´_Beebe degree.

Test Scores for Applying:
The submission of scores from a university approved entrance exam taken within the last five years is required. (State law requires standardized exam scores for placement in math, English, and reading.)

A minimum high school grade point average of 2.50 is required of transfer applicants. Aa minimum college grade point average of 2.00 is required of transfer applicants. Students who transfer in with a GPA lower than 2.00 are admitted with academic warning

Minimum Grades for Transfer:
The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is a C or higher.

Credits (Min/Max):
A transfer applicant must have a minimum number of 13 credits completed or else must apply as an entering freshman. Maximum number of credits or courses that may be transferred from a two-year and four-year institution depends on time spent at institution.

Test Scores for Applying:
Standardized test scores are required of applicants with less then 24 transferable credits.

Description

Established in 1909, Arkansas Tech University is a public university located in the small city of Russellville, Arkansas. Little Rock is about an hour away, and Fayetteville is a little under two hours. The university also has a satellite campus in Ozark. Students come from 41 states and 38 countries. Professional fields such as nursing, business, education, and engineering are all popular among undergraduates. Arkansas Tech academics are supported by an 18 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Student life is active with over 100 student organizations including a fraternity and sorority network. In athletics, the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys and Golden Suns compete in the NCAA Division II Gulf South Conference. The university fields four men's and six women's intercollegiate teams.
