Just completed first semester freshman year in the Honors program with a 3.7. Took sophomore level Arabic and got an A+. Arabic is the intended major. Supplemental Arabic program advertised on University’s website is no longer offered. Active in Hillel and selected to be copy editor for the Michigan Daily. Considering staying, but notice that other schools, i.e. Penn and Georgetown, offer 5 year BA/Ma. programs, which U.Mich doesn’t have. Didn’t really like the classes at UM and I am not into the whole Big 10 stuff, but love my few friends. Do SAT scores make a difference here? They were 1990. Any chance in hell of getting into Brown or Dartmouth? What about Penn, Georgetown or Columbia? Am I wasting my effort trying to transfer? Last year’s rejections were brutal. I am scared.
