Hey thanks for the tip. It does make sense, but would it be okay to judge the strength of a program based on a school’s reputation/ranking for the program? I don’t even know what constitutes a “better” undergrad business school, to continue your example.

For the school-specific essays, I am doing research on the respective programs and mentioning what I like about them and how they’re different from my current one. But for the Common Application essay, since the respective programs of the multiple colleges I’m applying to are different, I am stuck saying something along the lines of “I just want to attend a more prestigious college because prestige is how I judge business programs and how I know it’ll challenge me more.” And that to me, and I think to admission officers, sounds like a shallow and whiny reason, which I want to avoid. What do you think, and how could I change that?
