Description

Delaware State is a historically black university located on a historic 400-acre campus in Dover, Delaware. Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. are all within a couple hours. The oldest building on campus dates to the 1700s. Undergraduates can choose from 56 bachelor degree programs housed within 21 academic departments. Psychology, mass communicatins and management are the most popular undergraduate fields. Delaware State also has 30 graduate degree programs. The university has a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio. On the athletic front, the Delaware State Hornets compete in the NCAA Division I Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
