Description

Founded in 1850, Illinois Wesleyan University is a private liberal arts college located in Bloomington, Illinois, a city about half way between Chicago and St. Louis. The school has an impressive 11 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and the average class size is 17 students. Students can choose from 50 academic programs from both the College of Liberal Arts and College of Fine Arts. Transfer applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 from their current academic institution, although it is recommended that students carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be competitive for admission.

Minimum Grades for Transfer:
Illinois Wesleyan has a minimum grade requirement of C- for transfer.

Credits (Min/Max):
A minimum number of credits are not required in order to transfer. However, no more than 50% of a major or minor may be taken elsewhere. All degree candidates must complete a minimum of 2 years and 16 courses in residence.
