The university takes its Christian identity seriously, and central to the school's mission and purpose is the belief that God is the source of all wisdom and truth. Students come from 27 states and 14 countries, and the school has three main student populations: traditional undergraduates, adult students in evening programs, and graduate master's degree students. Students can choose from 42 academic programs, and among undergraduates, business administration is by far the most popular major. Campus life includes weekly chapel services and 14 clubs and organizations. On the athletic front, the Southern Wesleyan Warriors compete in the NAIA Southern States Athletic Conference for most sports.
