Trocaire College, the only independent private, two-year college in the City of Buffalo, was founded in 1958 by the Sisters of Mercy as Sancta Maria College, offering higher educational opportunities to women of the Order. Only courses completed with a grade of "C" or better are acceptable for transfer.

Please note that a student must earn a minimum of thirty credit hours at Trocaire to be eligible for a degree. A student must complete 50% of his/her course work here to be eligible for a Trocaire College Certificate.
